Methods to improve work efficiency

We use and develop six internationally recognised efficiency methods, with each of them designed to achieve specific objectives.
Visual management with 5S: sort, organise, clean, standardise and self-monitor/self-check in Latvian

The 5S visual management method consists of five steps: sort, organise, clean, standardise and self-monitor/self-check. The benefit is an arranged and organised workplace, including reducing waste, improving safety and standardising improvements. In this way, our employees collectively help to create optimal working conditions.

Improvement culture with Kaizen (Japanese for “change for the better”) visual in Latvian

Kaizen (Japanese for “change for the better”) is a method in which employees at all levels of a company proactively work together to achieve regular, incremental improvements in work quality and efficiency, eliminate waste and improve safety. Kaizen embodies a culture of continuous improvement, where we find solutions to administrative and production challenges.

Quick Changeover with SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) logo

The Quick Changeover method SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) helps to reduce losses during the readjustment or resetting of equipment. Our staff analyse the production process, identify waste and unproductive time, and make suggestions for improvements, creating a standard for a more efficient, faster and safer production process.

Scheduled maintenance with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) logo

TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) is the comprehensive involvement of operators in the planned maintenance of their equipment, enabling them to improve production, prevent breakdowns and unplanned stoppages, as well as reduce safety risks. Because of the method, we are able to increase the availability of equipment and improve the quality of the equipment.

Working instructions with TWI (Training Within Industry Job Instruction) logo

The TWI (Training Within Industry Job Instruction) method ensures that our employees are trained to a common standard – gaining the knowledge and skills needed to do the job safely, to a high standard and in the planned scope. The method helps reduce training time, while the knowledge gained reduces defects and repeated work, accidents and staff turnover.

Process improvements PDCA (Plan/Do/Check/Act) visual in Latvian

PDCA (Plan/Do/Check/Act) is a method for initiating and implementing changes to processes, measuring the results achieved and standardising the changes made, or starting the cycle again depending on the results. The PDCA cycle consists of four stages – Plan, Do, Check and Act – completed one after the other in a fixed sequence to achieve the desired result.
