For more than 30 years, the trade union of Latvijas Finieris has been representing the interests of employees in communication with the company.

Collective agreement – opportunities for employees

The interests of employees are protected by a collective agreement, which provides employees with benefits and advantages in addition to the legal and social guarantees established by the State, promotes the interest of employees in quality work and the future development of the company, and clarifies the responsibilities of employees.

Additional holidays

All employees, whether or not they are members of the trade union of Latvijas Finieris, are entitled to the additional holidays provided for in the collective agreement, for example in the case of weddings, children starting school, higher education degrees, etc. Holidays are also due for service in the National Guard of the Republic of Latvia.

Contributions to 3rd pension pillar

After a year of continuous service in a company of the Group, the employer starts making monthly contributions to a pension fund – an additional social guarantee for a more stable old age.

Health and accident insurance

The company provides accident insurance for all employees from the start of their employment, which is active 24 hours a day worldwide, and a health insurance policy after the probationary period.

Social Assistance Fund

One of the benefits of being a member of the trade union of Latvijas Finieris is the Social Assistance Fund. The employee’s individual social fund accumulates 50% of the trade union membership fees paid, as well as voluntary contributions from salary and dividends. This allows one to save money and receive a favourable interest increase when the savings reach a certain amount.

Support in various life situations

Support is available for members of the trade union to buy spectacles and contact lenses. There is also an allowance for a childbirth or a funeral, long-term illness or expensive surgery. Support is also provided for workers who have a disabled child under the age of 18, etc.

Having a collective agreement shows that the employer is responsible and reliable, with a long-term perspective.
