Latvijas Finieris scholarships have been awarded to students of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music

This year, nine students of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music have received Latvijas Finieris scholarship in the total amount of 9700 euros for the purchase of instruments or technical equipment.
Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music Support Foundation announced the application for the scholarship on 14 February this year, and on 16 March the applications were evaluated by a commission in which Mārtiņš Lācis, a member of the Executive Board of Latvijas Finieris, also participated. After careful evaluation of the applications, the scholarships are awarded to:
Marta Trofimoviča – 1500 EUR for the purchase of a soprano saxophone;
Tomass Ančs – 1500 EUR for the purchase of a cello;
Kristens Kupčs – 1500 EUR for the purchase of a jazz guitar;
Justīne Nora Žilde – 1400 EUR for the purchase of kokle (Latvian string instrument);
Jānis Polis – 400 EUR for the purchase of a tuner, octave pedals and pedal panel;
Annija Elizabete Meija – 1500 EUR for the purchase of an alto bow;
Elza Liepiņa – 800 EUR for the purchase of a piccolo flute;
Elīna Čipāne – 350 EUR for the purchase of an alto shoulder / chin rest;
Klāvs Jankevics – 750 EUR for the purchase of a cello case.
