Latvijas Finieris subsidiary in Lithuania UAB Likmere launched its second peeling line in April this year, which is part of company’s investment programme and will increase the capacity of the factory by 25%.

“This project will make it possible to process up to 180 000 cubic metres of veneer logs per year, which means that the value of veneer produced could increase to around 17 million EUR. This will definitely facilitate stability in the long-term relations with the Lithuanian forest owners and managers.”

Overall, UAB Likmere has invested around 21,5 million EUR in development and there are 80 employees in the company.
