The management of the defence sector of the Republic of Latvia on 17 January in a solemn awards ceremony met Latvian employers – representatives of companies, non-governmental organisations, municipalities and educational institutions – to thank for their support and contribution to the strengthening of the National Guard.

Minister of Defence Raimonds Bergmanis awarded Latvijas Finieris with the nomination “The Latvian National Guard most supporting enterprise”. It should be emphasized that nominations were cleared in the internal vote of the National Guard members. The National Guard is a part of the Latvian National Armed Forces that consists of volunteers who perform traditional national guard duties such as crisis response and support for military operations.
