The Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry annual Livonia Award was granted on 12 September to Latvijas Finieris Group for its successful work in Estonia and to forestry and energy group Graanul Invest for its achievements and investments in Latvia.

“We are really pleased that the timber industry in Estonia is appreciated and society understands that forestry is a good land use. In turn the tended forests are a resource for further processing industry and products with high added value. Many thanks to the employees of the Kohila Vineer mill, whose work has been recognized with the Livonia Award.”

The Livonia Award, presented for the first time in 2013, aims to promote the recognition and competitiveness of companies operating in both countries, as well as to encourage Estonian and Latvian companies to cooperate more closely.
