For many years, Latvijas Finieris and Riga Wood have celebrated Forest Day – a meaningful tradition that allows us to give back to nature while strengthening team spirit and our relationships with customers and partners. 

Each year, several hundred employees of Latvijas Finieris and Riga Wood, together with their families and cooperation partners, dedicate a day to planting new birch groves.

This year,

The planting will take place on 25 April, starting at 11:30 EET, and will continue throughout the day.

Our Experience and Expertise

Through our work, we are creating higher-quality, more productive forests that sequester carbon faster and more efficiently – helping the Baltics meet environmental goals. In 2024, we carried out regeneration fellings on 116 hectares of forest, while we regenerated 436 hectares and afforested 153 hectares.

At Zābaki Nursery, we’ve grown over 20 million tree seedlings in more than 25 years.
