An important phase in the Implementation Project of the Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 Enterprise Resource Planning system has come to an end – on September 7 the final acceptance documents were signed confirming completion of the Implementation Project and the achievement of all goals set in the Implementation Agreement signed between Latvijas Finieris and Blue Solutions UAB. Thus, AX2012 system is now entirely handed over to Latvijas Finieris, and the colleagues from IT department will take on full responsibility for its further maintenance and development.

Noteworthy that signing of documents confirming the official end of the project took place exactly three years after its initiation. However, cooperation with Blue Solutions is longer and started already on June 4, 2014 with signing of the first agreement for conducting analysis. 51 months or 1556 days separate that date from September 7, 2018.

On the Group level there are now close to 1 000 system’s end-users, enabling significant improvement of production control efficiency. For example, more detailed plywood stock online management, coordination of sales-production workflow management with improved speed of information exchange starting from the factory all the way to the customer, automatisation of procurements, management of logistics as a part of an integrated process etc. Moreover, with AX2012 project Latvijas Finieris has not only acquired better managed data and business processes, but also a more cohesive team of colleagues that have got to know each other much better and build an understanding, and together have achieved an outcome not yet attained by anyone else in the Baltics.

Now we continue to actively work on improving and developing AX2012, as well as progress preparatory works for AX2012 implementation in Ludzas MRS and Latvijas Finieris Mežs (planned GoLive on November 1, 2018), Sastamala mill (planned GoLive on January 1, 2019) and Likmere mill (potential GoLive on July 1, 2019). It is also planned to launch the human resources management and payroll module of AX2012 in all structural units in Latvia (besides SELF Loģistika) until January 1, 2019.
