Our philosophy of support

To strengthen culture and the development of ideas, it is important to develop a serious attitude in society towards safety, ethical and legal issues. Developing an economy requires cooperation and the exchange of ideas, knowledge and thoughts between different sectors. A healthy, independent and prosperous country needs a vision for the future that unites society.

Support directions

Latvijas Finieris supports ideas that promote the development of culture and the unity of society.

A national and secure country

A sense of belonging to the country and patriotism start with a common cultural space. It builds nations, unites people and creates values. We believe that Latvia’s national culture and national security are closely linked, which is why we support projects of a national scope.

Education, science and civil society

Civil society is built on interest and participation in the changes needed for the sustainable development of a country. We support knowledge transfer by fostering cross-sectoral collaboration and seeking to connect with society on a wide range of issues.

Charity and social support

In order to build a prosperous and well-off society, reducing social inequalities is significant, and support for the poor and socially vulnerable is particularly important.

Forestry and wood product development

To mitigate climate change, we advocate the replacement of fossil resources with renewable, ecological, recyclable and aesthetic biomaterials, especially wood. We support organisations in the forest and related industries to use and promote birch plywood.

Individual sports, arts and culture projects

We support reasonable and achievable goals that contribute not only to individual growth but also to the wider society.
