Previously known RIGA brand of Latvijas Finieris Group reshapes its visual identity

Latvijas Finieris Group renames its product brand RIGA to Riga Wood. This move emphasises the Group’s strategic direction towards premium birch plywood products and related services.

Today, Latvijas Finieris is a world leader in birch plywood product solutions and related services, and we want to reflect this position with an appropriate modern visual identity.”

The expertise and tailor-made solutions are highly appreciated by customers from more than 30 industries in 70 countries worldwide. For many years, the products of Latvijas Finieris were known around the world under the RIGA brand, while the 12 internationally based product development and sales offices of the Group bore the Riga Wood name. By combining the two brands into one, the Group is keeping pace with the set strategic goals – focus on tailored birch plywood product solutions and services, and sustainable business development.

“The European Green Deal and global goals of climate neutrality clearly promote the widest possible use of renewable resources, including wood. On the other hand, there is an increasing focus on the longevity of products, their recyclability and impact on the environment throughout the value chain. This is in line with the development strategy of Latvijas Finieris, in which we focus on the highest quality birch plywood products that stand out with durability and are manufactured in accordance with the principles of sustainable business, from timber extraction to end-user application.”

As a good example, he cites the unique RIGA ECOlogical birch plywood, in which biological lignin is used as a partial substitute for traditionally used fossil phenol, thus providing significant benefits to customers in industries with the highest environmental requirements.

In turn, the story included in the brand is inspired by nature itself – the lines, being one of the graphic solutions, symbolise the birch grove and veneer plies in plywood. Moreover, these elements of the new visual identity emphasise the well-thought-out and far-sighted decisions, actions and solutions of the Company.

It should be noted that the visual identity of the Latvijas Finieris Group itself remains unchanged.
