Inta Blūma, regional sales manager at Latvijas Finieris: inspiring colleagues make everyday work interesting
22.09.2022
This year Latvijas Finieris celebrates the 30th anniversary of its foundation. Inta, on the other hand, is celebrating her 30th work anniversary at Latvijas Finieris. During her time with the company, Inta has managed to change several positions, has got to know the Group from all its different aspects and has met countless colleagues, many of whom have become good friends over the years.
When we ask about the positions she has held, Inta says that the job titles have not stayed in her mind, but rather the feelings and experiences she has gained. To remember the official titles, one has to look for old business cards and lists from the Human Resources Department.
However, the first position at Latvijas Finieris has remained a vivid memory. Inta’s story begins at the Furniers factory, where she worked as a secretary-typist. This position brought with it a special responsibility that has stuck in memory – Inta had to help foreign colleagues who needed to use the Latvian language to carry out their daily work.
“This experience helped me to become a better person, to learn new words and their meanings, to meet different people and to grow together. It was a time when everyone in the company felt united and uplifted to achieve new goals. I was a cog in the wheel, whose work also played a role in making the big wheel turn.”
Nowadays, regular job changes are common practice. This begs the question: What made you stay with Latvijas Finieris for so many years?
“Working at Latvijas Finieris is interesting, it is never boring. There are so many interesting, inspiring and smart people around from whom you can constantly learn and improve. I guess it’s the people and the team that have kept me here. I am grateful to so many people for their support, faith and sincerity”.
Outside of work, Inta “recharges her batteries” through dance, which has been her passion for many years. Recently, the list of hobbies has been extended to furniture restoration.
