As of March 25, Latvia has moved from the first stage of development of the Covid-19 epidemic, which is characterized by infections imported from abroad or traceable secondary infections to the second stage, when the new coronavirus spreads into the community with an untraceable transmission. This means that the risk of infection has increased, and we’ve updated our internal security rules. Latvijas Finieris Security and Safety Department is doing its best to provide safe environment at all Latvijas Finieris Group.

As for the current situation in the Group, all mills continue to operate as normal, with no confirmed COVID-19 cases among colleagues in production and central office until noon of March 26.

Colleagues from Sales department and Riga Wood product development and sales offices are constantly monitoring development of different security measures taking place in various countries. They are in constant contact with customers seeking the best and mutually beneficial scenarios for the next few weeks. Veneer logs in mills are enough, the rest of the resources are also sufficient.
