Congratulations to The Winner of The Latvijas Finiers Prize in Competition “School of Bioeconomics”

Every year JSC Latvia’s State Forests organises a competition for secondary school students School of Bioeconomics. It aims to raise awareness of the growing role of forest resources in solving environmental problems. In three rounds, participants get to know, study in nature and solve issues related to the bioeconomy. In the final round of the competition, participants must create video messages in honor of UN International Forest Day. This year the theme of the video was Young Growth. Due to the video submission deadline of March 8, Covid-19 crisis did not affect the competition.
The authors of the best videos are awarded with different prizes and for the third year in a row we in Latvijas Finieris also choose our favorite. Our criterion in the evaluation is an innovative representation of wood products. After careful viewing of all submitted videos, the Latvijas Finiers prize in the amount of 250 euros (including taxes) was awarded to Anete Paula Tomina, a 10th grade student at RTU Secondary School of Engineering.
