In 2024, Latvijas Finieris Group sold a record 309 thousand cubic metres of plywood (in 2023 – 296.6). This is historically the highest result in the operation of the company, which confirms the strong global demand for our birch plywood. 92% of birch plywood was sold outside Latvia in 56 export countries by 12 birch plywood product development and marketing companies under the brand “Riga Wood”.

This year, a total of sixteen awards and certificates of recognition were presented to the largest taxpayers in five regions of Latvia in the group of large, medium-sized and small enterprises, as well as to the most significant exporter in 2024.

The candidates in the “Exporter of the Year 2024” category were evaluated by analysing the size of tax revenues (the difference between tax payments and tax refunds), the statistical value of exported goods, tax payment discipline, constructive cooperation with the SRS, reputation, as well as other criteria.

In recognition and gratitude for their responsible work, this year, the companies also received the traditional award made especially for this event, the visual design of which is a symbol of internal growth and life, as well as a Certificate of Recognition. Within the context of the Award, a flourishing tree is chosen as a symbol of successful entrepreneurship and a sustainable economy, marking the path from the birth of a new business idea to its successful implementation and development, thus contributing to the economy and prosperity of the country as a whole.
