Latvijas Finieris invites you to visit the Silver Grove miniature in Vērmane Garden during the celebration
07.07.2025
During the School Youth Song and Dance Festival, from 7–13 July at 10.00-19.00, Vērmane Garden will become one of the main meeting places where visitors can experience or be reminded of the essence of the festival – warmth and togetherness.
Every participant and supporter, guest of the capital or casual passer-by, will be both a creator and actor of the festival during these days. This is why, in Vērmane Garden, everyone is invited to take part in the creation of the festive atmosphere – singing, dancing, performing, discovering, and sharing experiences with others. It will be an opportunity to strengthen both Latvian values and the culture of cooperation and participation.
The team of Latvijas Finieris has also taken care of one meeting point in Vērmane Garden during the celebration week – a miniature of the Mežaparks Great Stage or Silver Grove. It was created as a tribute to the Song and Dance Festival tradition, which unites society and strengthens Latvian values. The miniature stage reminds one of the significance of its big “sister” – Mežaparks Great Stage – as a unique cultural and architectural object created to highlight the interaction between man and nature.
We invite everyone to step on the miniature Silver Grove stage and become part of the celebration! Sing, recite, tell your story through dance, or just be in the moment – this stage is a place where everyone can create, do, and share their emotions. Whether you are a participant of the celebration, a supporter, a guest of the capital or a casual passer-by – be part of the festival creation and experience story!
Share the moments you capture: in photo or video form on social media, adding the hashtags #stāvējudziedāju, #DzSV2025, #nācgavilēt, and tagging @nacgavilet and @finieris.
The original Silver Grove or the Mežaparks Great Stage is the joint work of the talented architects Juris Poga and Austris Mailītis. Its most important feature is the acoustic quality of the 510 spherically curved sound shields. The shields are made of Riga Preprime and Riga Ply birch plywood, produced by Latvijas Finieris from birch grown in the Baltics. The author of the miniature stage is the architect Mikus Grende, contractor – SIA Dekorāciju Darbnīca.
AS Latvijas Finieris is pleased to support the Song and Dance Festival, not only by making a material contribution but also by participating in activities such as the creation of the meeting place in Vērmane Garden and STEAM science workshops at the Mežaparks Great Stage.
