Tech Industry 2025 Puts the Spotlight on Metalworking

08.12.2025

From 27 to 29 November 2025, Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga hosted Tech Industry 2025 – the Baltic region’s largest trade fair for mechanical engineering, metalworking, automation, electronics, and emerging technologies. Experts from Latvijas Finieris Iekārtu rūpnīca also participated.

Tech Industry 2025 provided a broad platform for equipment and technology demonstrations, alongside B2B matchmaking opportunities. The event enabled local manufacturers, entrepreneurs and international visitors to explore the latest industry solutions, including innovations in mechanics, automation, metalworking, and electronics.

Kristaps Dambinieks, Production Manager at Iekārtu rūpnīca, noted that the exhibition enables Latvijas Finieris to strengthen its position as one of the region’s leading manufacturers of woodworking equipment. It serves as a valuable channel for attracting new cooperation partners and expanding export opportunities for both Latvian and international companies. Participation also signals a company’s commitment to innovation and development, making it more attractive to business partners, future professionals and potential employees alike.

“For Latvijas Finieris, participation in Tech Industry 2025 represents a strategically valuable and timely move. It offers an opportunity to expand cooperation, attract potential employees, strengthen the company’s reputation, and enhance its visibility within the industrial sector. Positive feedback from visitors and engagement with future professionals demonstrate the mill’s strong presence within the community – and reaffirm the importance of staying on course.”

This year, the Equipment Factory also took part in the Tech Industry Latvian Manufacturers’ Joint Stand, coordinated by the Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries. The initiative ensured the broad representation of Latvian manufacturers and fostered closer cooperation across the sector.

Chairman of the Board of  the Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries Toms Grīnfelds:

“The development of the mechanical engineering and metalworking sector is based on exports. Companies in the sector are actively working to develop export markets, including by participating in international exhibitions abroad. Our vision is to develop Tech Industry into an export-driven event – one that brings foreign customers and potential partners to Riga, rather than requiring Latvian companies to seek them abroad. This year, we organised a stand featuring nearly 50 manufacturing companies with established experience in export markets and representing a broad range of activities. The initiative drew strong interest from potential foreign partners seeking cooperation opportunities in the Baltic region.”
