In logyard “Kuldīga” birch 3m pulpwood will NOT be purchased from December 22, 2022.
Technical requirements
Volume of birch veneer logs is calculated with the automatic sorting line according to LVS 82:2020.
Volume of pulpwood is measured by SIA “VMF Latvia” using group measurement with photo processing technology (Photo WEB), according to LVS 82:2020.
Accepting the Cargo
Latvijas Finieris has the right not to accept the supplied cargo and to return it to the seller if more than 10 % of the cargo does not meet the veneer log quality requirements and/or does not comply with the specifications.

Evaluation of the offer
We will contact you, take your considerations into account, and suggest the best way to work together. Copies of property, felling, and timber valuation documents will be required.

Inspection of properties and felling areas
Our specialist will inspect the woodland, giving a consultation on further actions if necessary.

Drawing up a contract
If necessary, we will enter into a contract for the purchase of property, felling, and veneer logs.

Purchase of veneer logs
If you choose to sell veneer logs in the forest by the road, we will organise transportation. You will receive SIA VMF LATVIA verified data on the measurements using the photo method within two hours (on weekdays) after loading. If you choose to deliver veneer logs to one of the Latvijas Finieris log yards, we will provide the necessary information about working hours and delivery options.

Document preparation
After receiving the invoice or filling out the consignment note/invoice, we will immediately submit it for payment. You will receive the payment within 10 working days unless we agree otherwise.

Surcharge for contract fulfilment
If you enter a veneer log supply contract for at least one calendar quarter and deliver the promised volume, then at the end of the quarter we will calculate the amount of the surcharge and send a reconciliation act. Payment will be made upon the receipt of your invoice.
