Where Experience Meets Conviction: Vjačeslavs Andruškivs’ Path at Iekārtu rūpnīca
13.01.2026
Iekārtu rūpnīca of Latvijas Finieris is the company’s core competence centre, driving the development, production, and ongoing improvement of industrial equipment. Both new and modernised production equipment is built here, strengthening the competitiveness of the company’s mills both in Latvia and internationally. Iekārtu rūpnīca brings together engineering expertise, hands-on experience, and precision craftsmanship, creating an environment where experts tackle real, complex, and meaningful challenges in the manufacture, modernisation, refurbishment, and repair of woodworking equipment every day.
Vjačeslavs Andruškivs is a senior locksmith at Iekārtu rūpnīca. He joined the company in 2018, but Vjačeslavs’ professional career has long been closely linked to industrial machinery and the woodworking industry, with more than 30 years of experience in the field. Throughout his manufacturing career, Vjačeslavs has focused on ensuring uninterrupted machine operation, fast adjustments, and minimal downtime. As his career progressed, his priorities changed: night shifts in his previous role became too demanding, and he began seeking a stable day job that allowed for a healthier work-life balance.
The decision to join Iekārtu rūpnīca was a deliberate and well-considered one. This decision was also encouraged by former colleagues, who were already working at Latvijas Finieris and recommended that he join the company. The new working environment required a shift from the pace of production to engineering precision, where every millimetre counts, as well as the quality and safety of each component.
Daily work at Iekārtu rūpnīca is clearly structured, with a stable daily schedule. An additional benefit is the proximity of the workplace to his home – allowing him to cycle to work in minutes. This allows him to stay physically active and disconnect from work after a long workday.
Vjačeslavs appreciates the well-organised working environment, social guarantees, and stability. He emphasises that the factory fosters a respectful attitude toward people and their work, while remaining open to employees’ suggestions for improving work processes and equipment. As a senior locksmith, he is involved in both the manufacture of new equipment and the improvement of existing solutions. Vjačeslavs speaks thoughtfully and responsibly about the role of young professionals in the industry. In his view, one only becomes a master over time, when there is genuine interest, care, and the opportunity to learn by doing. When asked about his work, he simply says:
“The key is to do it well and accurately. Not every day is easy, but knowing that the work you do is meaningful and useful is rewarding.”
