Riga Wood trademark among prize-winners of “Trademark of the Year 2021” contest
For the 9th year in a row, on World Intellectual Property Day, the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia together with cooperation partners organised a contest, “Trademark of the Year”. This year Riga Wood, the birch plywood export brand of Latvijas Finieris, was awarded with 3rd place in the nomination “Trademark for the World 2021”.
The contest is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to increase their competitiveness on a global scale, thereby strengthening Latvia’s name in the world. Furthermore, such contests motivate entrepreneurs to protect their intellectual properties.
Since 2013, the “Trademark of the Year” has been organised by the Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia in cooperation with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK). Since 2017, the Latvian Designer’s Society (LDS) is also a part of organisational team.
