Riga Wood France marks 20-year anniversary
20 years ago, in 2003, Riga Wood France opened its doors in Orgeval city. It was another cornerstone in the expansion of the network of Riga Wood’s internationally-based sales and product development offices. The purpose of Riga Wood France was to serve French speaking countries in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in North Africa. Nevertheless, France remained the main market with countless opportunities to expand and develop. Stephane Levoir became the managing director of the office and continues his work to this day. Thanks to Stephane and his team in France and at the headquarters in Latvia, Riga Wood birch plywood products can be found in the biggest DIY chains all over France.
“An individual approach to each customer and project is the key to successful cooperation. It’s a mutual trust and dialogue that helps us move forward and achieve win-win situations for everyone involved,” emphasises Stephane. “Niche products have a huge potential in the market. But at the same time these projects require customised, premium quality products and flexibility in service. That’s where the previously mentioned individual approach steps in at a great scale,” continuous Stephane.
Stephane himself is a shareholder of Latvijas Finieris Group and has been actively working to support the growth of the Group. Like other Riga Wood offices, Riga Wood France is actively involved in product development and strategic decision making processes regarding products and end use sectors.
Interesting fact about Riga Wood France: It was the first company registered in France which had the name of the capital of Latvia – Riga – in the company’s name.
