New European Construction Products Regulation (CPR)
EU Construction Products Regulation 305/2011 (CPR) is fully operational from 1 July 2013.
CPR repeals the Construction Products Directive 89/106/EEC (CPD) through which CE marking till now is introduced for the marketing of construction products.
The general objectives and main instruments of the CPD have not changed in the CPR. The CPR will continue to use the instruments developed for the CPD, but introduces stricter and more transparent procedures and amends some of the previous terminology in order to be more precise.
From 1 July 2013 manufacturers of construction products will be required, when placing a product on the market, to apply the new CE mark different from as per CPD and to provide a Declaration of Performance (DoP) for the plywood products.
Latvijas Finieris takes arrangements to be in line with CPR at the end of June, 2013.
