Birch Program
Latvijas Finieris launched the Birch Program in 1996.
Objectives
- To identify the most appropriate species of trees for afforestation of land not in use for agricultural purposes and to explore their growth
- To obtain high quality birch stands and increase their surface
- To promote growing of birch
