Birch Program

Latvijas Finieris launched the Birch Program in 1996.

Objectives

  • To identify the most appropriate species of  trees for afforestation of land not in use for agricultural purposes and to explore their growth
  • To obtain high quality birch stands and increase their surface
  • To promote growing  of birch
